Bibliographies
Still under construction...
Here are a collection of bibliographies of research and popular articles.
These are text files for the moment, just lists of references. The easiest
way to search the files is to use a text-based browser, and use the find command
to search through the file. I will be upgrading these to
searchable files as soon as I get the time to figure out how... :-)
- Bibliography for cetacean research
(29 species, 1979-1991).
- Two-letter species abbreviations are used
throughout this file: eg. Bm = Balaenoptera musculus (blue whale). Where
two letters lead to ambiguities, I've used the first letter of the genus
and first two of the species names: eg. Lac = Lagenorhynchus acutus
(Atlantic white-sided dolphin); Lal = Lagenorhynchus albirostris
(White-beaked dolphin). There are a number of exceptions (Lobl = L.
obliquidens (Pacific white-sided dolphin); Lobs = L. obscurus; Sfg =
Sotalia fluviatilis guianensis; Psc = Pseudorca crassidens).
- Reading list for CERF '98
- This is a collection of articles and books covering the topics included in
the CERF '98 grey whale research course.
Sections on photoidentification, grey whale feeding ecology, killer whale and
dolphin acoustics, and biomechanics.
- A _Short_ list of killer whale references
- This is a collection of articles from 1988-1990, including the 1988
Rit Fiskideildar articles on Orcinus orca. Only 54 entries.
- Bibliography of articles relevant to jellyfish
locomotion.
- This is the articles I have used for my thesis research on jellyfish jet
propulsion. If you have any suggestions for other papers, email me, I'd love to hear about them!
Other bibliographies will appear here as I collect 'em. If you have pointers
to bibliographies already available on the net, email me the URL's, I'll include them here.
