Humpback whale catalogue for the Central Coast of British Columbia

Each record here contains a photograph of the flukes and/or dorsal fin of an individual humpback whale sighted at least once on the BC Central Coast. The data tables present the date and zone of the sighting, as well as a list of other whales present in the same area at the same time. Click on the photographs to bring up a full size image.

ID numbers here are temporary, awaiting a revamp of our catalogue. Photographs for the 1994 and 1995 animals are not yet available in digital form. Poor quality photographs presented in the "hitlist" of H9610 and H9613 are the only ones available at this time. H9609 never fluked during the one 45 minute encounter we had with it - we do have dorsal fin/flank shots of many of the other whales, but have not yet catalogued them.
